How To Launder Wrestling Singlets

When you invest in a wrestling singlet, we know that you want to make sure that it lasts for years to come. In this article we will be giving you the tips and tricks to ensure the longevity of your singlet.

Presoaking (if needed):

If your singlet is extra dirty or has a stinch, presoaking can help. Use lukewarm water with a few spoons of laundry detergent. Adding in one cup of baking soda can also help get rid of any odors. Depending on how much time you have to presoak, you can let this sit overnight.

Removing The Stench:

A few tablespoons of vinegar OR Oxyclean added into your presoak or wash may help.

Getting Rid of Blood:

It’s best to wipe off any blood before it dries if possible. Do this with a wet COLD rag. Use the steps above to presoak and use Oxyclean or another stain remover if needed.

How To Launder:

  • Machine wash cold, on a gentle cycle
  • Do NOT use fabric softener
  • Do NOT wash other items with singlets when laundering
  • Hang dry only
  • No ironing
  • No bleach- even on white singlets
